Rancho Peñasquitos Concerned Citizens was formed on January 29, 2006 in response to SDG&E's Sunrise Powerlink proposal to run 230,000 volt high-tension power lines through Park Village and surrounding Rancho Peñasquitos neighborhoods.

San Diego City Council - meets on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. The meetings are held on the 12th floor of the City Administration Building, 202 "C" Street in downtown San Diego.

Docket (Meeting Agenda) information: On Monday, the Council normally hears legislative items. On Tuesday, the Council normally hears noticed hearings for land use matters and appeals. For questions about the Council docket, or to request copies of the exhibit material for any docket item, please call the City Clerk's office at 533-4000.   • Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee - AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY includes Police, Fire, Paramedics, Neighborhood Parks, Recreation Programs, Youth Services, Senior Services, Neighborhood Revitalization, BIDs, Litter Control, MBE/WBE, Community Development Block Grant, Code Enforcement, Graffiti Abatement, and Parking Regulations and Enforcement.

The Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee meets one to two Wednesdays per month at 2:00 p.m. in the City Council Committee Room, 12th Floor, City Administration Building. City Planning Commission - meets most Thursdays. Meetings are held at 9 a.m. in the City Council Chambers on the 12th floor of the City Administration Building, 202 C Street, in downtown San Diego.

The Planning Commission recommends changes in the city's General Plan and community plans; makes recommendations on the Capital Improvements Budget, rezonings and related land use matters; and has final approval on subdivisions as well as many permit types. The Planning Commission has seven members, appointed for four-year terms by the City Council.
