San Diego City Council - meets on Mondays at 2:00 p.m. and on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. The meetings are held on the 12th floor of the City Administration Building, 202 "C" Street in downtown San Diego.

Docket (Meeting Agenda) information: On Monday, the Council normally hears legislative items. On Tuesday, the Council normally hears noticed hearings for land use matters and appeals. For questions about the Council docket, or to request copies of the exhibit material for any docket item, please call the City Clerk's office at 533-4000. For database help, please call the Clerk's Docket Supervisor at 533-4010.

City Council Committees, Members & Dockets/Minutes, etc. that relate to land use and safety issues

City Planning Commission - meets most Thursdays. Meetings are held at 9 a.m. in the City Council Chambers on the 12th floor of the City Administration Building, 202 C Street, in downtown San Diego.

The Planning Commission recommends changes in the city's General Plan and community plans; makes recommendations on the Capital Improvements Budget, rezonings and related land use matters; and has final approval on subdivisions as well as many permit types. The Planning Commission has seven members, appointed for four-year terms by the City Council.
